A4AC Scholarship Program

The A4AC Scholarship Program has helped to support the training of over 20 local arts students. This mentoring and tutoring has been given to promising students who could not afford it otherwise, at private visual and performing arts institutions, and with independent teachers.

Harvard recently released a study explaining that 90% of students learn 20% better when involved in arts education. James Catterall of UCLA has the most comprehensive research which explains how the arts disciplines permanently effect brain development in specific areas. He also proves that students from less fortunate families stand to gain the most from arts education. Florida was one of the top states for cultural support ten years ago because we rely on real estate market taxes for cultural support. We've dropped to 47th in the nation. The potential long term effect on our population is dramatic. Help us to bridge the gap left by failing and cancelled arts programs. We are working to support more students in this program.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their support. Please, click to learn more!
